Yellowstone in Spring 2017

This series of images was captured during a trip to the US in June 2017

The trip included Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, and was timed for the emergence of spring wildflowers and wildlife. We explored many of the fabulous thermal feature and photographed the carpets of spring flowers. We visited many great locations including the Upper Geyser Basin, Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, Grand Prismatic Spring, Black Sand Basin, Mammoth Hot Springs. Everyone who has travelled to Yellowstone will be familiar with these locations. However, few photographers will be aware that the greater Yellowstone ecosystem has far more to offer. Five days of our trip were spent high up in the Beartooth Mountains. Here we were able to photograph a variety of birds at the nest including Woodpeckers, Flickers and Bluebirds. The following series of images is just a small sample of the many I managed to capture.
